On the 25th of November 2021, the director of the Career Development Centre (Ms. Berivan Mohammad Ahmad) as the representative of the University of Zakho participated in the ceremony of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in Zakho city. This ceremony was arranged under the supervision of (Mr. Gohdar Shekho) the director of the Independent Administration of Zakho, by Rawshan Organization for defending women's rights in Zakho city.

A panel about Violence Against Women was arranged in this ceremony, the panelists were (Ms. Nazdar Arif Brindar) the head manager of Rawshan organization and at the same time as the director of Genderism at the University of Zakho, (Ms. Vaman Ahmad Mohammed) a Lecturer at the University of Zakho and as a psychologist, and (Mr. Shivan Othman Saadi) the head manager of the office of Elimination and Violence against Women and Family.

During the panel discussion, all of the participants shed light on Elimination and Violence and that should be banned everywhere. It is worth mentioning that, the director of the Independent Administration of Zakho indicated his endless support for this topic, during this ceremony.
